Mormon 'marriage addict', 53, has tied the knot ELEVEN times

A Mormon woman who has tied the knot 11 times has insisted that she’s not ready to ‘give up on love’ after breaking up with the man she hoped would become husband number 12. <br>Monette Dias, 53, an interior designer based in Utah, documented her ill-fated relationship with her boyfriend, John, 58, on the first season of the TLC reality series . <br>The mother of four has been proposed to over 28 times in her lifetime, and she married two of her ex-husbands twice, thinking they could work it out. <br>’I definitely am in love with love,’ she admitted while detailing her romantic history on the show, saying she was just two years old when she had her first crush. <br> Monette Dias, 53, an interior designer based in Utah, has been married 11 times, but she is still hoping to find husband number 12 <br> Monette documented her ill-fated relationship with her boyfriend, John, 58, on the TLC reality series Addicted to Marriage<br>’I had crushes on my older brother’s friends. I always picked which one I was going to marry,’ she explained. ‘I always fantasized about what my wedding would be like, what my husband would be like.’ <br>Monette chalked up her first nine marriages to her desire to have sex while abiding by her strict Mormon religion. <br>She was raised to believe that ‘you always were supposed to have a husband’ and ‘you didn’t have sex outside of marriage.’ <br>’Intimacy was a big driving force for me, and so once I was with someone and we got to that point [of having sex], it was like, “We got to get married or we have to break up.” So it was usually the marriage,’ she said. <br> RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 2 Next That didn’t age well! When reflecting on her marriage to her fourth husband, she said she loved his children <br> Monette considered her fifth husband to be ‘one of the loves of my life'<br> ‘Husband number six, he just seemed so nice and kind, so I married him, and then I married him again,’ she explained <br>’My second husband, we just had a lot of fun together, but we got divorced.
